global change, or more of the same.
in this day and age, we seem to get this from all sides. we have to stop what we are doing and save the planet. i know where i work it seems that every day when some "one" does something "wrong" every one in the office needs to be chewed out. i don't know how many times it has happened, but now that we have gotten less new highers, we don't seem to see it as much.
tho there are those aggravating emails. when i get one of them saying you "have" to recycle, the kind of lanugae that makes you fell less than human for "not doing as they say" that aggrevate me. when i get aggrevated i tend to think evil thoughts.
example: once i have thought i would want to be in the situation were i am recycling then one of the high and mighty people, says 'o you are not quite doing that right.' of course that is when my obstinate part of my personality would come out. i would turn around walk to the garbing and do the opposite of what i was doing and waste. of course this is the point when they would ask, 'why would you do that?' and the line i would love to say, 'just to piss you off.'
(nothing like that has ever happened, not because people were i work would not do that. more for the fact i hate people so i tend to avoide them.)
tho that kind of email does aggrevate me i always keep out hope that someone out there is good,
tho most times i am wrong. i guess it is not the save the earth attitude that i do not like, it is the high and mighity attitude people take on. for example, when a person does an email like the above. the email seems to be dripping in a feeling of seperiority.
'i am good. i do thies things, there for i am better than all of you animals.'
course when some one says something like that all i can think is, what makes you think i don't? what make you think you are so much better, because you do something like that. then the evil kicks in. well becuase you think that i think i would rather make the world a mess, then i dont have to live with you so long.
then all that would not be all that nice, but you are reading from the person that would rather be at the center of a nucular explosion. the type of person that would love to caculate a nucular explosion just close enught to someone, just so the fallout from it would hit them first. then they would have a slow and painful death.
i guess that is just how aggrevated i get about everying saying think green. i am so sick of thinking green, i would rather go through a war. to go through fire and brimstone. and i guess in the end i just cant wait tell this thought of 'save the world' is over with. all i get the feeling people do it for is to say, 'see what i was a part of.' yet more bragging points i would rather stab them with.

"The Last Unicorn" lesson
"The Last Unicorn" what amazing story, short and simple but complex enough to draw the reader in. it is about some one that is searching for others like her, the kind of problem we all face. the problem is she has heard there are no others. so being great and noble, she sets forth on a journey to find her kind, others like her.
thought this journey she meets friends that she changes, for the better. in the end she changes, but that change is the most tragic. she is no longer like the ones she went in search of. she still looks like the one of them she sheared for, but inside she has changed.
i guess in the end that is what happens to us. we either search for friends, others the think and believe the way we do. or we find a group that we can not live with out and we change our selves to be like them.
in the end the only trick is to find your true self, and let that self guide you to those friends you will know and love.

the Misplaced Vote
this year seems to me to be a crazy year for the election. i know the last one was not this bad, but i do know that the 2000 was. it seems to me that every one gets there righteous conviction that one person is correct, and the fight begins. that is how i have always seen politics, righteous conviction that the one view is the only correct one. that is how many feel about gun control, global warming, and saving the environment. all good causes in there right, but all with great reasons not to react so violently as some want to.
sometimes i think that the issues the politicians harp on are the things they want the people to see. they speak out on the issues that the people want to hear and the things they want to hear. the few select things they they agree with the majority of the public on so they can try to appeal to the most people then hide what things they want to change. for some reason the thought of Hitler comes to my mind, a political leader that was chosen by the people because of his promises. even tho he was a deplorable man he was a great politician. he promised things that would not only make many people happy, but also what would further his plans.
in the end that is more of what we have to worry about this election, not the issues but what kinds of changes this person we put into office will do. by thinking this way it makes it about the issues, but also about the person and there beliefs. how can those values and beliefs will influence our lives and our future. in the end that is not what this election will be about, it will be a popularity contest who like who the most.
in the last few elections we have become complacent on what to believe and what to say. it seems that if it was not part of law we would never get one person out of office because most people do not see the harm in keeping things as they are. but that always reminds me of an old saying that i have been told sense i was a child;
in this time such a thing is hard to do, with all the media taking a side and skew the story telling us what they think is correct. to discover really what is going on we must study, but who has time in our busy lives, and that is the price we pay for putting our selves above the whole. in that i guess we are lost, we have reached a point where majority rule is no longer important. the minority that screams the loudest, the small group of people that have the biggest feeling of righteous justification that can yell the most that there view is all important will win.
and i guess in the end, that will be our end.

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." see
those few words carry so much meaning it is scary. in a time in which we elect our officials a statement like that applied to politics means we must always be vigilant. always looking, always watching, always going over every decision with a fine tooth comb, making sure that what this official is doing is what we believe is correct. if not then we must make a change and no longer let that official continue on.in this time such a thing is hard to do, with all the media taking a side and skew the story telling us what they think is correct. to discover really what is going on we must study, but who has time in our busy lives, and that is the price we pay for putting our selves above the whole. in that i guess we are lost, we have reached a point where majority rule is no longer important. the minority that screams the loudest, the small group of people that have the biggest feeling of righteous justification that can yell the most that there view is all important will win.
