here is a random idea.
what if the brain is like a dual core processor, two streams of information that go through the same unit whit 2 different purposes. except unlike the processor the mind and devote different amounts of processing power to each, ie. brain waves. the idea is that the 2 parts of the mind the subconscious and conscious mind process different kinds of things. it is known that the subconscious mind interprets body signals, and much non verbal communications.
so inside our mind we have 2 sets of brain waves (who knows if that is true but that is the idea). one being the conscious mind and the other being the subconscious mind. now in each one of us the balance between the subconscious and conscious mind tend to be equal. but in some the conscious mind has more processing power than the subconscious. this would cause people like geeks and nerds. people that are good at thinking things but not so good at interacting whit people.
if that is true then the reverse is probably true. some one that is great at interacting whit people (to the point they can begin to predict how the people will react before they do), but when it comes to thinking it becomes much harder for them to do. so there are the normal cases then you can get into the extreme cases like autism in which they have amazing thinking power but they are unable to interact with people but on the most basic level.
now if you take that into account would it be possible to nudge the brain waives in someones mind to more favor the subconscious or the conscious mind. changing there abilities in that area. able to think clearer or be able to interact with people more easily. now the problem here is if you begin to start nudging the brain waves you could change some one to be more out going but that would take away the conscious thinking power.
now i am not say it is not possible for some one that favors the thinking mind to interact, but it becomes more more difficult to do so. because something that the subconscious mind does by instinct that person begins to have to think their way through it, because the subconscious mind no longer has the processing power to do.
OK that is enough of my rambling
